Who we are
In-Region stands as an independent and multidisciplinary policy and development institution headquartered in Puntland, Somalia. In-Region is legally incorporated in 2025.
As a regional systems-focused institution, In-Region is dedicated to advancing governance, development, security, and policy innovation. Its work spans research, consultancy, institutional reform, and the design of context-specific frameworks.
The Center’s inception was driven by the recognition that Somalia’s recovery and progress require approaches rooted in regional realities rather than one-size-fits-all models. By elevating local voices and embedding development strategies within actual governance and security conditions, In-Region seeks to reshape how policy and aid are conceptualized and implemented.
At its core, In-Region is committed to bridging local knowledge with global policy debates. The institution emphasizes inclusivity, regional equity, and evidence-based solutions that strengthen governance, empower communities, and guide international partners toward realistic, outcome-driven interventions.
